David Gaukroger
I marked my move to Wales last year by writing 'Four Welsh Songs' for SATB, double string quartet, double bass, flute and oboe. These are settings of poems by Ruth Bidgood, award-winning poet and sometime Western Mail 'Welsh Woman of the Year'.

My most performed work is Romany Wood, for children's voices, narrator and orchestra. There have been over 80 performances, including two Royal Charity Gala concerts, a Classic fm broadcast and 5 performances in English cathedrals.

All my composition's royalties go to charity and I have raised in excess of £100,000 since retiring 6 years ago.
Dw i'n hoffi dysgu Cymraig mewn dosbarth yn Llandrindod.
